Underbrush

reality, survival, tense, drama, peril (UND-62)

There are individuals on this planet who think that normal, everyday livin’ is not challenging enough.

Lucky for them, reality television exists.

From races around the world revealing fragile relationships, to individuals being dropped out of helicopters into harsh environments with nothing but a GoPro camera and a backpack full of expletives… once the adventure begins there’s no turning back.

But the thrill doesn’t just get the contestants adrenaline pumping. Thanks to clever edits and compelling music, our collective palms as mere viewers get sweaty and our hearts beat faster too. From the perilous wilderness to our comfy couches, we’re all in it together!

Underbrush (UND-62) scores the televised struggle to survive with a mix of sound design, pulsing electronic elements, and nylon stringed guitar. Partnered with our UNDERscore track formula of intentional and consistent builds, followed by a musical question mark, this combination ramps up the thrill of the adventure with waves of drama, tension, and mystery.

Composers Andrea Giordani and Tyler Fortier have each contributed tracks to this record, with unique compositions that envelope the listener in suspense and drama, making Underbrush an excellent option not only for reality TV, but also for psychological thrillers and high-stakes emotional dramas.

Editor's note: While listening to the track “Danger Set In” in my earbuds, the intense anxiety conveyed with swelling bass synths elicited quite the physical reaction, causing me to feel ill the rest of the day. You’ve been warned.
