Cumulus Daydreams
Head in the clouds and floating beyond, light backdrops puffed with wonder and exploration (MOPM-082)
Inject some dreams back into technology. After all, that’s how many great innovations start... with the dreamers. Staring off into space, head up in the clouds, then seemingly out of nowhere the dreamers find solutions for problems you didn’t know could be solved.
Miracles occur when technology finds its heart, and a team of Modus Operandi composers (Evan Conway, Sam Ecoff, Isabella Nichols, Brandon Mathieus) has crafted the soundtrack for those moments. With themes of science and exploration, Cumulus Daydreams (MOPM-082) utilizes reflective pianos and futuristic synthesizers to create peaceful and positive backdrops. The celeste of “Orbiting Through Stardust” dances with delayed FX over twinkling synths and swells of strings, a perfect example of how the usually cold moods of technology, design, science, can be filled with emotional and caring inflections.
The tracks of Cumulus Daydreams will most obviously find homes in business and corporate advertising settings with a message of caring or hope, but we can easily see them partnered with images of nature, aerial drone footage, and documentaries.
Highly recommended listening for fans of Nils Frahm and Olafur Arnalds.
