Ain’t It A Cryin’ Shame (Single)
No pity from our confident narrator as she shrugs off her ex-lover in this modern country single with a touch of Southern satisfaction. (LMTL-044)
Action heroes have cornered the market on the Unflinching Walk away from stuff blowing up. Ain’t It A Cryin’ Shame (LMTL-044) is the modern country equivalent, witnessing an ex crash and burn.
But in this version, our narrator allows a little smirk of satisfaction to creep in, reveling for just a minute in karmic justice. It’s all over the chorus and titular line, sung by Liv Mueller.
The mid-tempo track carries confidence without being vindictive. As the lyrics tell the tale, strength and resigned emotion walk side by side in the vocals as the Nashville rhythm section gives the song a country feel that makes it easy to sing along.
Recorded at Blackbird Studio and written by Ryan Necci (Ryan Necci and The Buffalo Gospel), Ain’t It A Cryin’ Shame follows in the same footsteps as previous LMNTL Records releases such as Dancing With The Devil (LMTL-036) and Win Some Lose Some (LMTL-037).
When you're calling all my friends
And you're calling out my name
Now I made you feel how you made me feel
Ain't it a cryin' shame
Written with the heart and relatable stories of all good country classics, these songs are crafted and produced with synch in mind. Stems are available and they fit in drama series edits without any of the usual hurdles of commercial tracks. We hear this one working well in romantic movies, hospital dramas, and any story that feeds an independent spirit, ditching toxic relationships, dismantling the patriarchy, and discovering how life can be without gaslighting SOBs.
