Written by longtime License Lab composer and synthesizer wizard Thomas Wincek (All Tiny Creatures, Bon Iver, Field Report, Volcano Choir) with live band production by Daniel Holter at London Bridge Studio in Seattle, WA, we authentically channel the sound and passion of an 80s movement. You can also hear the talents of Matt Badger and Holter on drums, Will Moore and Jordan Gomes on basses, and Kyle Winkler on guitars.
The sense of urgency inherent with this pocket of New Wave comes through on tracks like “Believe In Us” and “What I See Delights Me” while still holding on to the sentimental, bleeding heart melodies that fly over sequenced synthesizers and electronic drums.
Confidence and teen drama vibes drip from “All Comes Down To This,” including victorious orchestra hits that don’t let you forget what decade you’re in. Throughout the record you’ll find driving bass lines and signature effected guitar that amplify the sound and attitude that emerged from the UK in those turbulent years.
