Label: Three Ingredients or Less

Album: Homecooked Americana (3ING-068)

Brief Description: There’s a lot of talk about what exactly Americana is. The general consensus is that nobody knows, but we know what it feels like and it usually points to the past or at least shows a reverence for those traditions. This album all the right notes for a simple, understated Americana meal, just like your mama used to make. Nothing fancy, but it lets the ingredients shine. With a bluesy twang of a slide resonator, the distinctive picking of a simple banjo, and some select handclaps for just a hint of a modern beat, the Americana genre pushes on.

Applications: Partners well with any visuals/ themes that contain farms, fields, plains, whiskey, mountains, or just some hard working folks.

Prevalent Keywords: Bluesy, Dirty, Twang, Retro, Heartland, Soulful, Reflective

Genre(s) Included: Folk

Notable Track Titles:

  • Good Ol’ Buddy

  • Outback Highway

  • Just a Simple Porch Swing

MOPM-074.jpg

Label: Modus Operandi Production Music

Album: Electro Planet (MOPM-074)

Brief Description: Welcome to EDM-infused world music, global sounds and modern grooves blended with spices, vocal bits, and energy. Traveling the globe with a little flare from Bollywood, Ireland, Africa, and Asia. The pulsing beats and ethnic instruments keep this collection unified, bringing in some optional female vocals that add in that extra bit of flavor. And if you don’t need one of these destinations, the unique character of the instruments brings out new elements in the electro backdrop.

Applications: Active lifestyle, travel, and documentary programming could all benefit from this globally driven album.

Prevalent Keywords: Pumping, Exotic, Fusion, Technology, Ethnic, Energetic, Rhythmic

Genre(s) Included: Electronic

3ING-069.jpg

Label: Three Ingredients or Less

Album: Kibbles and Bits (3ING-069)

Brief Description: Unique and bizarre instrumentation, sparse instrumentation, and quirky melodies, all built with a childlike sense of wonder. You’ll hear some kazoo, banjo, marimba, acoustic guitar, and a bunch of other acoustic and organic percussion… for the most part (there may be a surprise in there). All these ingredients are used sparingly so that the childlike, cartoon inspired spirit is never drowned out.

Applications: Cutesy advertising spots looking to grab the viewer’s attention, products aimed towards young families, furry companions, etc.

Prevalent Keywords: Fun, Kitsch, Youthful, Whimsical, Rhythmic, Charming, Cartoon
