Lights Out (EP)

Determined rock with male lead vocals, group vocal accents, and dynamic arrangements. Combining elements of screamo, pop punk, and indie, these tracks bring the hi-energy anthemic power into force. (LMTL-023)

For the moments that require urgency and emotional drama with an edge, we present Lights Out (LMTL-023). This pair of passionate rock tracks bring unexpected power and heart.

Take a trip back to the days of the Vans Warped Tour, shopping at Hot Topic, and having your Walkman (or first generation iPod) be the only thing that understood your tortured high school adolescence.

“Lights Out” has major anthemic weight, with “Whoa-oh” group vocals and screamo accents on the chorus built for teenage mosh pits. The alt/hard rock track is buzzing with intensity that would play well under extreme sports montages and general brooding.

The second song on this EP is driving, victorious radio-ready pop punk. “Remember September” has a dynamic drum beat and indie guitar textures that lean positive, but still bittersweet. Another strong chorus with accents and vocal hook to deliver a pressing plea to revisit the past.

Both tracks on Lights Out have promo edits that are focused on promo-settings, still utilizing the chorus hooks without the lyrical verses. Teen dramas, ads with a youth energy, and sports breaks are all prime applications. Definitely give this EP a listen if you are (or were back in the day) into Fall Out Boy, 30 Seconds To Mars, Jimmy Eat World, Hawthorne Heights, AFI, or Linkin Park, but feel free to leave the studded bracelets and belts in the back of the closet.
