We are always on the lookout for ways to make music better, including technological advancements and new tools (or toys).
But sometimes we can’t help but look to the past, to our favorite records and say “Damn, there was something really special here even though it’s messy, or noisy, or raw.” With all the musicians in the same room, the tape reel spinning, and every take bringing out something different, there’s a magic that can be difficult to quantify and is often invisible to the eye but obvious to the ear.
Recorded with vintage gear and long-forgotten recording techniques, Analog Champion aims to capture the spirit of those classic records we all love.
Honoring our own guiding principles (read our Ten Tenets), we went all in on the concept that perfection is a second-rate idea.
