New Playlist Alert: Blades + Blasters
Inspired by the magic of bingeable fantasy sagas and sci-fi blockbusters, we’ve created a new playlist of epic scores, Blades + Blasters.
When the fate of your kingdom, the world, or the whole galaxy is at stake, there’s nothing like an epic symphonic soundtrack to give each blast and each clash the proper impact and dramatic emphasis.
The right music can transform costumes and props made from recycled garbage into action-figure worthy icons, and allows miniature models to become bigger than any moon or space station. We can erase the CGI pitfalls and imperfections from our grown-up sensibilities and get lost in the story. Even a misplaced coffee cup on set can be overlooked (not really, but you get the picture).
Blades + Blasters features booming brass, ground-shaking hits and accents, syncopated strings, and grand themes give your next fantasy/sci-fi saga (or podcast about an existing saga) the proper anthemic and dramatic soundtrack to tell the tale. No lens flare necessary.
Here are a few of our favorite standout tracks :
“Culminating Exmutamus”
The end of line, it all comes down to this, it’s now or never, etc. Take your pick, because this ultra-dramatic track has powerful brass, frantic strings, and epic percussion hits that lead up the final battle. It’s perfect for a hard-fought, victorious battle… possibly (probably) in slow motion.
“Searching The Hills”
Powered by chugging cellos and strings pulled beyond recognition, this track keeps the tension high without bringing out the big guns. Carefully selected FX and simple melodic lines add drama to the search. Our protagonist is hidden in the shadows, but for how long?
