New Music Roundup - September 2020
This month’s roundup starts with our quick glance video of standout tracks from each release. And for a more comprehensive look, we’ve got singular album descriptions below so you can learn if this music is the perfect fit for your next story.
The retro synthwave sounds of Under the Surface v3 have some serious 80s vibes. We’ve got forgotten soundtracks to cult horror movies, TV shows with big hair and talking cars, cyberpunk dystopias, and an excessive amount of karate. Leaning dark, these tracks have super sequenced synths and fat drum machine beats. This album was created by Will Bush of Immortal Girlfriend, one of the incredible indie artists we now rep for synch.
Everyone is family after a few pints at the local pub. “Brothers From The Neighborhood” by Ragebaiter is a raucous bar rock track with gang vocal accents, punk verses, and a shouting, fist-pumping chorus. Did we mention this single has bagpipes?
Delicate Dream is a hauntingly beautiful album featuring fragile piano melodies and indie synth atmospheres. Somber moments with an air of hopefulness fill distant dreams, building textures and dynamics throughout. They never get too big, but grow with an arc that lends itself to contemplation, emotional soundtracks, and dreamy vignettes.
