The music of Immortal Girlfriend is polished and enigmatic, each track has impeccable and highly intentional synthpop production. Adorned with dreamy pads, drum machines, and an array of synths, they explore undiscovered sonic territory, taking detours through dark and cavernous streets. Spacious vocals lay partially obscured, acting more like an instrument to enhance the textures than anything. It’s a haunting, intriguing effect that draws in the listener like a siren.

The electronic duo is made up of brothers Will and Kevin Bush. These men are resilient. Whether it’s being laid off or battling with cancer, they never stop supporting each other, always keep a positive outlook on life, and keep making music. 

Will and Kevin’s love of synthesizers, 80s music and action movies, pro wrestling, and 90s video games have helped Immortal Girlfriend's nostalgic sound take shape. But that’s only part of the equation that makes them so unique.

After being laid off in 2017, the Bush brothers supported themselves with third shift and part-time jobs, the sounds and solitude of driving at night quickly seeping into the band’s DNA. It’s the experience of making your way up and down sleepy streets, being alone with your thoughts in a sea of street lamps and headlights. It’s mysterious, dark, serene, and a bit surreal. Combine those shadowy elements with their synth-driven influences and you get the sound of Immortal Girlfriend.

Self proclaimed "Dark Knights of Synthwave," Immortal Girlfriend is the underdog that will continue to push forward and create, no matter what life throws their way.
